Karol Frame

Artist Biography:
Welcome to my Gallery! My name is Karol Frame and I am a mother of three. My two oldest children are grown now but my husband, younger son and I decided to move to the Great Smoky Mountains when my husband, after twenty years in the Navy, retired. I love doing craft shows and being able to see the look on people’s faces when they realize I never use patterns for my designs. I can make items similar but will never duplicate unless requested, (and even then, I may add something different. Ha.Ha.)Recently, I entered a judging contest in Baileyton, TN. and am proud to say, I won two ribbons for a sweater and afghan I did. I love traditions and creating new traditional pieces but also ones that have a past era quality. Each item is made without a pattern, ensuring you get a one of a kind, unique and original design. When I was younger my mother taught me to crochet. She instilled in me to be creative in design, and to take pride in the sometimes “odd” creations I did. I wanted to be the best at designing what I thought would be the next sure thing in the fashion industry at the time. Well, now that I am older, I still love to create and I love the thought that my work will be admired by all who appreciate the beauty I try to bring to those special. Crochet has become a lost art and hopefully, it will be brought back to be enjoyed and passed on as it was meant to be. I hope you will take a walk through my gallery and will visit from time to time. I will be offering more distinct designs throughout the year, and new pieces and maybe you will find something you like or tell someone you saw me here!
