Handmade book, green faux alligator - "Greener Allergator"

Shown here is a wonderful book made with the visual artist in mind. Bound with heavy watercolor paper, it can be used with watercolor, light acrylics, drawing/sketching, light collage, and writing/journaling. The covers are covered in a faux alligator paper, and when handled the tactile experience is what you will be taken with. The binding is considered a "lace binding" because the pages are sewn onto cords and then laced into the boards before covering. The seemingly "exposed" spine is the result of this time-honored way of binding.
