Handmade book - "Büknecklace"; blue, mother of pearl

Shown is one of my favorite "inventions". Designed to wear around the neck, the tiny book hangs on a 32" silver plated chain and is kept closed with a sterling silver filigree box clasp. Hanging on the corner are three "drops" of mother-of-pearl. Sewn on the cover is another piece of mother-of-pearl with sterling beads. This book is fully functional and can be used for writing or keeping small locket photos.
