Incredible is the word for this blister pearl necklace. Julie accented the purple overtones by suspending a briolette cut amethyst. The facets help the light play over the surface of this 47mm wide by 67mm high blister pearl. She fabricated the mounting for the pearl from 14kt white gold while the briolette is suspended on 14kt green gold; the same material that makes up the links to which a 14kt white gold chain is attached.
A blister pearl occurs when the pearl does not separate from the oyster - this pearl is almost 18mms.
This one of a kind piece needs to be worn and appreciated by a one of a kind lady.
