Artist Biography:
Fern who is pictured to the left (Sassies) and Mary on the right (Tabbies) are sister.
Fern has been Scroll Sawing for over 10 years and Mary for 5 years. Using the old fashion machine.
We came from a large family of 6 brother and two other sister..none of them have a desire for wood as our father was a carpenter by trade as was his father and grandfather...
We was born in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.. We lived there till I (Fern) was two years old I'm the youngest of the 10 children,, At which time our folks moved to Mc Minnville, Oregon... My sister Mary has lived most of her life in Oregon..She is happily married for 43 years with 3 children and nine grandchildren..
As for me Fern I return to Minnestoa for 15 years and then returned to Oregon. I was married for 25 years with 4 step children and 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild..
In 2006 my sister Mary and I jointed to form Sassies & Tabbies Scroll Artwork... After the passing away of my husband. (Fern)
We have done many local craft shows in our area..
We also do the Spirit Mountain Casino Elder Annual Christmas Craft Show at Grand Rhonde, Oregon every late Fall
