Artist Biography:
Creating jewelry provides me with a means to express my admiration for the wealth of strong, smart, generous, exuberant women and girlfriends I have had the benefit of knowing – and those I have yet to meet. I design jewelry with these women in mind. They inspire me – artistically and emotionally!
The materials that I work with are selected because of their quality and character – much the same as choosing good friends! Austrian crystal, semi-precious gems, sterling or fine silver and gold find their way into my designs. I want people to look at my work and observe the quality, workmanship and care taken to create a strong, beautiful piece – to be worn by a strong beautiful woman!
Currently, I am designing pieces made with Precious Metal Clay (PMC), which affords me an avenue to let my imagination run! A fun, magical medium, PMC begins as a clay-like substance and finishes as fine-silver. Amazing! Life is Good!
