Diny van de Lustgraaf

Artist Biography:
My name is Diny (say Deenee) and I live in the Netherlands. I am married to Dick, we have 2 teenage daughters, Lianne and Heleen and a little dog named Nicky. I have been creating since I was a little girl. From 1994 until the summer of 2007 I have been an illustrator, but I worked too hard and I had to stop. At first that was very frightening, I didn't know what to do, were to leave my hands, but than I picked up jewelry-making, that has been my hobby since I was 6 years old. It felt like coming home after a long long tiring journey. In the Netherlands wire-wrapping is not at all well-known. We do make jewelry here, but not like you people in the States do. When I found out about wire-wrapping on the Internet, a whole new world of jewelry-making opened up for me. And I felt this is what I was looking for, this is what I want to do. I am learning every day, I am playing with wire and stones and I am loving every minute of it.
