Artist Biography:
I have been building mountain dulcimers since 1996, and began the business of building/selling in 1999. In the spring of 2000 I had the privilege of being invited to the dulcimer shop of Bob Mize in Tennessee. Bob had been building dulcimers for over 50 years. He is featured in the Fox Fire books in volume 3. I helped him in the building of his 3801 dulcimer.
We attend quite a few festivals in and out of Michigan where we sell our instruments. I also do workshops on playing the dulcimer and give private lessons at the festivals and in my home. We also carry books, stands, holders, cases, capos, strings and many other accessories.
All my instruments are crafted from "raw" wood and all the pieces are hand cut by myself. The tops and backs are book matched and the sides are lined with kerfing. Each instrument is signed, dated and numbered. I have instruments in many states along with England and Germany.
Seller's Policies
We accept Visa and MasterCard. We ship either USPS or UPS. Shipping and handling charges are $25 in the continental US for a dulcimer. Sales tax is collected on all Michigan sales. We encourage you to visit us at home or at a festival. If there is a workmanship problem with an instrument we will repair or replace at our discretion.
