Well, it's here! The website you have all been asking for. Enjoy! With 30 years of combined experience you can be assured, when purchasing from Rings & Things, that you will be receiving a quality piece.
Only sterling silver and gold filled is used in the creation of our jewlery. For those of you with allergies you'll be happy to know that none of our pieces contain nickel.
Our jewelry is unique, fun, creative, and different from anything you have seen before. We don't simply embellish pre-fabricated items. Everything is hand made from start to finish creating truly unique pieces. Although handcrafted, each piece is made in a professional manner and is well finished, a quality that can only come with years of experience.
......Now for a little history: Jan and Amy are a mother daughter team. Jan has been making sterling silver and gold filled jewelry for over 20 years. It all began when Jan was a stay at home mom of three daughters, Lisa, Amy and Cori. She often took her daughters on day trips to art fairs and always found herself drawn to the jewelry booths. She decided to take some metals classes from the local community college in Traverse City MI. Shortly there after she entered the art fair circuit. As her hobby turned business, she created quite a following. Customers returned to her shows year after year and made stopping at the "Jan Rohen Jewelry" booth an annual tradition. All three of her daughters grew up helping her with art fairs. You could often find one napping underneath the display, out of site of the customers.
Jan's oldest daughter Lisa, followed in her mothers footsteps and now has a thriving jewelry business all of her own. Lisa, now Lisa Chile, is well known in Georgia and Michigan.
Jan's middle daughter Amy graduated from Northern Michigan University with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Art and Design. After graduation Amy decided to forgo her degree and jump full time into the jewelry business with her mother. Together, in 2005, they opened a cute little shop called Rings & Things in their home town of Marquette MI. Opening this shop was one of Jan's lifes' dreams. During the summers, Amy travels to art shows throughout the states of Michigan and Wisconsin while Jan operates the store. Rings & Things is located at 325 Erickson Ave. in Marquette MI. Seller's Policies
Shipping: We ship out on the first and last Wednesday of each month. If your order is made less than one week before the next shipping date it may not be shipped until the following shipping date.
Shipping charges: Orders up to $99.99- Flat rate of $3.
Orders $100 and over- Flat rate of $5.
Flat rate covers postage, insurance, delivery confirmation and packaging. All packages are shipped USPS first class mail, with a delivery time of 2-4 days from date shipped.
Returns: We want you to be absolutely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not happy with what you ordered, for any reason, send it back and you will be refunded the amount paid less shipping. Item must be returned within 365 days of original purchase (yep, you saw that right, one year from purchase) and in the condition that you received it.
Also: If you happen to lose an earring purchased from us you can ship the remaining earring to us to have a single matching earring made. Please enclose with the package your shipping information a short note explaining that you would like a matching earring made and a check or money order for half of the amount originally paid plus $3.00 for shipping.
