Young Artist Spotlight
I have heard it said that the first ingredient of success - the earliest spark in the dreaming youth - if this; dream a great dream.

GoZabo.com is sponsoring a “Young Artist Spotlight” section for children between the ages of 5-17 years old. This will give young aspiring artists the chance to be recognized for their achievements and have the opportunity to sell their creation online. Ten contestants will be chosen from entries received each month by a volunteer panel of artists.
How to enter:
Go to our Young Artist Spotlight Submission Form and submit it to GoZabo.com to be considered. You must include the following information:
- Artist’s name,
- Parents/guardian name, contact email & phone number
- A short bio of the artist
- A short description of entry.
- Price (Must be under $50.00 including shipping within the U.S.)
- All contestants must have the permission of their parents/ guardian to be considered.
- All art must be 100% handcrafted by the Young Artist entering the contest (exceptions: picture frames-easels or base materials like paint, clay or other mediums used to create their works).
Submissions must be received by the 15th of each month to be considered for the following month's young artist spotlight. All submissions will be judged by a panel of volunteer artists. If your submission is chosen, you will be personally contacted. If your submission was not chosen you will be notified by email.
We will not keep each month submissions for future consideration. If your entry was not chosen you must re-submit your information for the following month’s consideration.
Winners will be featured under our “Young Artist Spotlight” and will have the opportunity to sell their creation. (See below for rules and regulations if your submission is chosen)
If your submission is chosen:
With the privacy and safety of minors in mind~we run things a little differently for our “Young Artist Spotlight” section than we do on the rest of the site:
- GoZabo.com will contact parents/guardians by phone to verify permission was obtained for entry.
- Creations from the 10 contestants will be showcased under the “Young Artist Spotlight” link. Buyers will be able to purchase creations chosen during each month directly through GoZabo.com. (All other products sold on GoZabo.com are purchased directly from the artists).
- If your creation is purchased we will contact parents/guardians with the buyers name & shipping information. You will then be responsible for shipping the item to your buyer. A check for the artwork will be sent to you via snail mail. Checks will be mailed on the 5th of the month following the month we feature your child.
- Only the Young artist’s first name, biography, description of creation and state they reside in will be displayed. We WILL NOT divulge the child's last name or other personal information. NOTE: Keep this in mind when submitting your child's biography- you want to protect their privacy. GoZabo.com will not be responsible for editing biography. Please be cautious and wise in content written.
- You give GoZabo.com the permission to spotlight your child's creation for one full month. Even if the piece of art has been sold we will still display it on the site for the remainder of the month.
- All creations must be sold for $50.00 or less (This will include the price of shipping). The best way to estimate shipping costs is to go to: http://postcalc.usps.gov/ and estimate costs to the furthest location from where you live. If there is a specific request from a buyer to ship out of the country the buyer will absorb the additional charges and be billed accordingly.
